Joseph S. Rubin is an attorney licensed to practice in the States of Missouri and Illinois. He was admitted to the Missouri Bar in September, 1984, and has pursued civil justice for injury victims ever since. He has handled civil cases in many counties throughout Missouri and Southern Illinois. He has been court-appointed as a Guardian Ad Litem on numerous occasions to represent the interests of the disabled in St. Charles County (Mo.) Circuit Court. He has argued multiple cases before the Missouri Court of Appeals and the US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and he has filed papers in and has been admitted to practice before the US Supreme Court.
Joe graduated from DeSmet High School in 1974, and Washington University in St. Louis in 1978, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He then worked for more than three years as a daily news reporter for newspapers in Michigan and Pennsylvania, and was eventually assigned to cover a series of high-profile murder cases, the law enforcement community and the courts generally. In 1981, he entered St. Louis University’s School of Law and graduated cum laude in May, 1984.
Since his licensure, Joe has pursued a practice revolving around the various aspects of personal injury law. He has tried dozens of cases to conclusion including jury trials, and has represented his clients in many mediations and settlement negotiations. He revels in the submersion of detail and personal attention required in taking a client’s case to trial, where he feels he is at his best. In the rare event he is not somehow practicing law, he is known to occasionally attempt to play golf (emphasis on “attempt”). Fore!
